Euroformula stands for European Championship F3. In 2019 it will be taking place in Pau.
In 2019, Pau keeps ahead with its unique and envied Grand Prix, in which every pilot is anxious to participate. Pau remains so symbolic, the carrier of dreams and the fantasy to win at more than 200 kph by touching rails, that Eurofomula Open has just added Pau, from 17 till 20 May, to its calendar. Eight Grand Prix all competed circuits dedicated to F1!
The season will begin at the end of April, 2019 in Paul-Ricard, then will continue after Pau with Hockenheim ( Germany), Spa-Francorchamps ( Belgium), Hungaroring ( Hungary), Red Bull Ring ( Autiche), Silverstone ( England), Barcelona before the final in Monza, Italy. These are the most beautiful European circuits, of which Pau is an integral part.
The Euroformula Open is equivalent to a European F3 championship. Born in Spain, this discipline has grown over the years to extend its hegemony and offer a superb launch ramp to young pilots. A fierce fight is already looming in Pau between some 20 pilots, on Dallara F3s equipped with Toyota, Volkswagen or Mercedes engines according to technical choices.
Jesus Pareja, CEO(CEOS) of GT Sport who organizes Euroformula Open, modified his initial calendar having been charmed by a paloise proposal which could not be refused: “we are delighted to enrich the calendar by a race on this so beautiful urban circuit. We could not think of an option more fascinating and more legendary than Pau“.
At the top level European, Pau, is the result of a beautiful negotiation led by the organizers of Grand Prix, Joël Do Vale, the president of the ASAC Basco Béarnais, and Eric Dournès, the promoter via his company Créa-Sud.
Both have already confirmed the following categories:
• FFSA GT French Championship, queen of the French circuits, will constitute the other highlight of the Grand Prix.
• F4 will allow the children of the FFSA to become famous on the circuit.
• The Legends Cars Cup with a starting grid of multiple local drivers
• The Twingo Cup will serve as the basis for the Adour Océan Cup for the drivers of Pau.
Finally, in order to offer an even more diverse performance to spectators, the prototypes will appear with the Sprint Cup by Funyo-Sport proto.
And what else?
A little more patience. The latest announcements are coming. A hint: Like the Euroformula Open that keeps Pau in the international standing, you won’t be disappointed.
